Julie has been a dental assistant in my office for 10 years. Her 2 front crowns were done by the last dentist she worked for. She never really liked them. When she approached me to redo them, I thought it might be a good idea to do some periodontal (gum) surgery first to raise up her gum tissue on her left side in order to even out the smile. Since we were doing that, we decided to do her smile with 8 veneers in addition to the 2 front crowns. She no longer has that unsightly grey ring on top of her crowns and now she loves to smile.     Donna has been a patient for about 3 years. During this time we talked about giving her a new smile. She finally agreed. This case has a bridge, some veneers, some onlays and even a crown. She smiles more now.       Rosalie had a removable partial denture that she took in and out of her mouth for many years. She also had some bonding done that had stained after many years. We decided to throw away her partial denture and make a full bridge to improve her smile. She smiles much more now.

We may recommend a bridge be utilized to replace one or more teeth. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.
